Two Colorado Springs witnesses describe dark triangular objects; accounts released in 2026
October 2023 · Colorado Springs, Colorado · Sighting · Secondary sources only
Release 05 of the PURSUE files, published on 7 August 2026, includes two 2023 Colorado Springs cases. In October 2023 a former Department of War employee reported a 'dark translucent triangle'. A second witness, interviewed in October 2025, said that one evening in 2023 he saw a stationary, pixelated-looking dark-gray shape and a black triangular object with a constant red light underneath, roughly the size of the parking lot he stood in, which banked and moved off. Officials produced artist renderings of both, and describe the cases as unresolved because they were unable to make a definitive determination.
Why it matters (3/5)
Witness accounts and renderings that the government formally released as unresolved cases, so it counts as an official release.
Caveats
These are uncorroborated witness accounts without photographs. A MSU Denver physics professor quoted by Denver7 found them unimpressive for that reason. The news reports give no document IDs, the second sighting's exact date or the location within the city, and the war.gov files were not opened. An unofficial index also lists an FBI-interview Colorado Springs case in Release 03, which could not be verified.
