An AAWSAP contractor team investigates reports of creatures and lights around a Utah ranch
March 22, 2010 – April 23, 2010 · Near Fort Duchesne, Uintah Basin, Utah · Government program · Primary document linked
A BAASS report on two trips in March and April 2010, made under the AAWSAP contract, describes a team of two investigators and two scientists interviewing residents around a ranch near Fort Duchesne, Utah. By 7 May 2010 they had interviewed more than 25 people, including police officers, ranchers and Native American residents. Witnesses described balls of light, unidentified aircraft, a two-legged 'dog-like' creature (eleven witnesses), small hairy creatures and other animals. The team set up seven game cameras, ran electromagnetic surveys, used plants as radiation and magnetic-field sensors, and sent hair samples from a reported sighting for DNA analysis. One survey recorded strong radio signals near 1.2 GHz, not present the day before, in bands allocated mainly to satellite and military use.

Why it matters (2/5)
Contractor fieldwork documented in a released report; it shaped no known policy.
Caveats
The report records what witnesses told investigators; it does not establish that any creature or craft existed. DNA results were still pending, and the report itself calls its map of converging creature paths possibly arbitrary. Witness names are redacted.
