On 9 October 1989 the Soviet news agency TASS reported that 'scientists have confirmed that an unidentified flying object recently landed in a park' in Voronezh on 27 September. It said traces of the visitors' walk had been found, along with 'two pieces of unidentified rocks', and when pressed added that the visitors wore 'silvery overalls and bronze boots.'
