October 24, 1968 · Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota · Sighting · Primary document linked
Early on 24 October 1968, ground observers at launch site N-7 reported a bright object approaching, and a B-52 crew in radio contact with Minot's radar approach control reported seeing it. The base liaison officer, Lt. Col. Arthur Werlich, interviewed 17 witnesses, collected seven AF-117 questionnaires, plotted the B-52's track, and phoned Project Blue Book. Blue Book closed the case with a final report dated 13 November 1968.

Caveats
The final report's conclusion was not checked for this entry. The documents are hosted by a private archive that also publishes its own radar analyses, which reach conclusions the Air Force did not.
